28 oz container of squashed tomatoes


2 tablespoons of tomato paste


1 teaspoon of sugar


1 teaspoon of salt


1/2 teaspoon of black pepper


1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes


2 cups of ricotta cheese


1 egg


1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese


2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese


1/4 cup of slashed new basil


Directions:

Preheat the broiler to 375°F (190°C).


Cook the lasagne noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.


In an enormous skillet, heat the olive oil over medium intensity.  Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.


Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent about 5 minutes.


Mix in the squashed tomatoes, tomato glue, sugar, salt, dark pepper, and red pepper drops. Stew for 15-20 minutes until the sauce has thickened


In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped fresh basil. Mix well.


To assemble the lasagne, spread a layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with a layer of lasagne noodles, followed by a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture and a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese. Rehash the layers until every one of the fixings is spent, finishing with a layer of meat sauce and destroyed mozzarella cheddar on top.


Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.


Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.


Let the lasagne rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
